Description: Steinberg The Grand 3 – the new generation of virtual grand pianos
Steinberg has released a new quality virtual grand piano Steinberg The Grand 3. Grand 3 contains all the artistic details that elevate the virtual instrument to an unprecedented height of realism of sound. It has the characteristic features of three grand pianos (Yamaha C7, Bösendorfer 290 Imperial, Steinway D), a Yamaha CP80 Electric Grand digital grand piano and a Nordiska Pianofabriken piano. All instruments were recorded in studio conditions using a large number of microphones.
The incomparable sound of the Yamaha C7 grand piano is the record holder for beauty and musicality. This incredible sound was the result of long work of programmers and musicians. Virtual grand piano Yamaha C7 is able to convey all the features of musical expressiveness during performance.
Bösendorfer 290 Imperial is a virtual grand piano that allows a gourmet of high-quality sound to enjoy all the colors and richness of the timbre of a real grand piano. It is perfectly controlled by the appropriate controllers and is able to shine in every piece of music, providing luxurious sound quality.
Steinway D – bewitches with depth of tone and ultra receptive touch. Steinway D emits the warmth of a resonating rich sound. Playing on this virtual grand piano can be simply enjoyed.
Yamaha CP80 Electric Grand – is one of the best digital grand pianos. A specialist from Yamaha was invited to create this tool. On this virtual instrument, some effects were applied – flanger, tremolo, chorus and others.
Nordiska Pianofabriken – has a certain individual sound. Typical piano tones are breathtaking in a virtual piano model. It sounds great rock, blues, jazz and other stils. In this model, detail is clearly traced when sampling sound.
Neuman microphones were made to record grand pianos by special order. The characteristics of these microphones have been adapted to the piano taking into account the timbral and frequency features. Microphones with maximum accuracy conveyed the luxurious sound of each instrument. Everything was recorded: the acoustics of the room, the resonating of the strings, the knocking of hammers and even the rustle of the pedal.
